Description

Soft armour for regular training, without a long break-in. KAMUI is machine stitched at a 7 mm pitch. A wider pitch gives thicker, softer padding, so KAMUI is softer than sets stitched at 3–5 mm and absorbs shinai strikes better from your first practice. The men, kote and tare are covered in dark navy deer leather, which is soft and quickly shapes to your head and hands. We recommend KAMUI for teenagers from 12 and adults who train regularly. Men: ZEN IBB duralumin grille with 14 bars, deer leather, five decorative stitch lines on the ago, futon stitched in gunome, microfibre uchiwa. Do: plastic, shaped like a 50-slat bamboo do, black lacquered kurozan mune with three tabs, kaeshi-beri edging. Kote: deer leather, brown deer leather palms, microfibre inside the kotegashira, four decorative stitch lines. Tare: deer leather, six decorative stitch lines, large and small flaps stitched in gunome. Included: tightly braided men-himo 7 shaku long (about 2.1 m), do-himo and a cowhide chichikawa. Nothing else to buy. In the options above, choose the mune pattern (Onikumo or Honkumo), and the men for glasses if you train in them. After you order, we ask for your measurements and choose the size from them. We train ourselves, so here is a warning up front. For the first few practices the deer leather releases blue dye, like a new gi and hakama. This is normal. Until it stops, keep the bogu away from light-coloured clothing. Made by Zen Sankei, Japan.
