A high-quality Dobari shinai suitable for competition. The Gunryu model is excellently balanced and works for both training and competition. The Gunryu shinai has a wider Do section, which shifts the sword's balance back toward the hands and creates a more maneuverable monouchi. The shinai is used for training in place of the live katana. It offers good flex and does not cause irreparable harm to the opponent. It provides the maneuverability needed during matches.
